ANTOINE GRIEZMANN is getting closer to moving away from Atletico Madrid, according to reports.
The 33-year-old French striker is in the final year of his contract with the La Liga team.
Griezmann returned to Atletico permanently last summer after a two-year loan from Barcelona.
In his two spells at the club, he scored 181 goals in 389 matches, as well as winning three major trophies.
However, Griezmann may now leave the Spanish capital once again.
According to L’EquipeMLS club Los Angeles FC are interested in a Griezmann transfer.
LAFC are said to be considering signing the striker for free next summer or triggering his release clause.
The report adds that Griezmann has a clause worth just £8.5m in his Atletico contract.
Griezmann had previously planned to move to MLS after the 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the USA.
As a result, he will seek reassurance over his international future in negotiations with France coach Didier Deschamps before making a decision on a potential move.

The former Barça star scored 44 goals in 135 appearances for France and was part of the 2018 World Cup-winning squad.
Meanwhile, he appeared in all six of Les Bleus’ matches at this summer’s Euros.
LAFC already has a strong French contingent at the BMO Stadium after bringing in two of Griezmann’s former international teammates.
Hugo Lloris has made 25 appearances since joining Tottenham in January.
Olivier Giroud also joined the club earlier this summer following his departure from AC Milan.
LAFC are currently second in the MLS Western Conference, two points behind rivals LA Galaxy with two games in hand.
