The 57-year-old French football ace, known to United fans as King Eric, continued his international tour, appropriately enough, at Kings Place in north London.

Cantona released the first single The Friends We Lost last June after retiring in 1997.

When starting his musical career, he said: “Music has always been part of my life. I always had music playing.

“Why start today, so many years later? Simply because I lacked time beforehand.”

He finishes his UK leg in Manchester tomorrow.

Some fans were recently left confused after seeing the former football great performing on Michael McIntyre’s show.

He was seen wearing a red cardigan, hat and glasses.

Reacting to the performance on X, formerly known as Twitter, fans seemed quite confused by the sensational display.

One fan said: “Why is Eric Cantona performing on Michael McIntyre’s #BigShow? I have never been so confused!”

A second said: “WHAT demented BBC producer thought he was in his right mind putting ERIC CANTONA on stage for himself-…To, erm, do whatever was on stage in Michael McIntyre’s Big Show??”
