MASON GREENWOOD scored his first goal for new club Marseille.
The controversial player completed a £26.7million move from Manchester United to France this summer.
And he scored his first goal in Marseille colors in a pre-season friendly against French second division side Pau FC.
After some confusion in the area, Greenwood took advantage and passed the ball over the opposing goalkeeper.
Marseille reached an agreement with United to sign Greenwood after fending off competition from several European clubs led by Lazio.
The striker returned to United’s training ground in early July to speak to club officials to help facilitate his exit from Old Trafford.
He attracted interest from several European clubs following a season-long loan spell with Getafe last term.
Greenwood scored ten goals in 36 appearances for the Spanish national team and was named the club’s Player of the Season.
The deal was completed despite protests from Marseille fans against the move.

A section of supporters launched a #GreenwoodNotWelcome campaign over allegations of attempted rape and assault against the 22-year-old.
Greenwood denied any wrongdoing and all charges were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service last year.
The player will now work under former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, who joined the club in June.
Greenwood made his debut for the Red Devils in 2019 and scored 35 goals in 129 appearances.
