MANCHESTER UNITED failed to overcome their Premier League rivals Arsenal as they began their pre-season tour of the United States.

The Red Devils saw their early 1-0 lead lost to Mikel Arteta’s side.

United went ahead early through Rasmus Hojlund, but everything changed just five minutes later.

The Danish striker was forced out of the game due to injury, before new signing Leny Yoro suffered the same fate 15 minutes later.

The injury will overshadow everything for most Man Utd fans, but most players can come through unscathed with some valuable minutes in the tank.

ANDRÉ ONANA – 7

The Cameroon international was all action, but not just with his hands.

As a possible sign of what’s to come next season, he has always looked to set moves at the back.

A chest down and volley to Amad stood out. Some good saves during the game. He couldn’t be blamed for any of the goals and made a good late save from Kai Havertz’s exhibition penalties to help United win at least that.

AARON WAN-BISSAKA – 7

Why United are actively looking to sell the former Crystal Palace right-back is a mystery. He narrowly missed intercepting the ball in the build-up to Arsenal’s equalizer, but he was still one of the best players on the night and looked sharp in training the day before.

Harry Maguire – 8

He spoke well this week about his sadness at having lost the FA Cup and Euro finals. But he recovered and appeared free of the calf injury that cost him at the end of last season. 8.

Leny Yoro – 6

Just like in the game against Rangers, the new signing showed that he can make mistakes and make up for them.

Lost the ball at Hampden but came back to make a crucial block and here he lost possession in the first minute, only to recover and attack Gabriel Jesus. He left injured after 35 minutes.

Harry Amass – 5

The 17-year-old, bought from Watford last summer, is yet to make his official debut for the club. United need support at left-back and he hopes to provide it, but the way they lost Gabriel Jesus for Arsenal’s equalizer has earned him a talk with the manager.

Toby Collyer-6

He impressed against Rosenberg enough to start the next pre-season game against the Rangers, when he performed well again. Some good penetrations here too.

Casemiro – 6

He looks a lot thinner than he did last year in the pre-season. The Brazilian looked to be on his way this summer, but appears eager to stay and contribute. 6.

Bricklayer assembly – 7

A good first half playing as number ten. He looked sharp constantly trying to get the ball and had a good shot well saved at the near post.

Amad Diallo-5

He struggled to get into the game, but provided a good assist for Mount to shoot.

Marcus Rashford-7

What a great 50 yard ball he produced from deep in his own half to set up Rasmus Hojlund for his goal. Erik ten Hag still believes in the striker despite his drop in form last season.

Rasmus Hojlund – 7

What a start to the US tour for him. He found the back of the net in the tenth minute when he went past Ayden Heaven and shot through the legs of Karl Hein. Then, moments later, he was injured and said he had a hamstring problem. 7.

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN (Collyer 45): He showed his experience to come back and head in when Arsenal threatened. 6.

JADON SANCHO (Rashford 45): His second preseason game as the uneasy truce between him and the coach continues. He scored the winning penalty in the exhibition penalties at the end of the match. 5.
