SUPPORTERS were left in shock after watching Andre Onana’s attempt at mind games go horribly wrong against Arsenal.

Manchester United lost 2-1 to the Gunners in Los Angeles in the first game of their US tour.

Rasmus Hojlund gave them the lead before leaving injured moments later.

Gabriel Jesus equalized for Arsenal before Gabriel Martinelli won for them ten minutes from time.

United manager Erik ten Hag was happy with his team’s performance despite the setback.

And they at least had the consolation of winning the late penalty shootout 4-3.

During the penalties, Red Devils goalkeeper Onana was caught doing his best to fend off Arsenal’s Fabio Vieira.

The Cameroonian star took a step to the right and then began pointing at the huge space to his left, almost daring the Portuguese star to shoot there.

Onana, who was one of United’s best players against Arsenal, continued to throw his arms in that direction as the icy Vieria advanced to shoot.

However, the United guard’s antics did not have the desired effect as he dived to the side he was pointing at while the midfielder struck the ball into the opposition corner.

Onana’s footage was soon shared on social media and quickly got supporters talking.

One posted: “Onana is a nice human being. I’m not even trolling.”

Another said: “The player was also good at mind reading. I love that.”

A third commented: “He will be successful in comedy.”

One fellow fan called him a “funny guy,” while another declared him “really funny.”

A sixth said: “That’s a clown move.”

While a seventh added: “Onana played a lot of FIFA.”

Meanwhile, the man Onana replaced as the club’s No. 1, David de Gea, is reportedly in talks with a Serie A club and could reject transfer offers from Saudi Arabia and the US.

The 33-year-old Spanish goalkeeper left Old Trafford as a free agent last summer after 12 years at the club – despite winning the Premier League Golden Glove in his last term.

The Red Devils infamously released the star on his wedding day in June.

The goalkeeper has been linked to several Premier League clubs such as Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.

And he was also “presented with several options, including offers from Saudi Arabia, the United States and Italy”.

And it is the latter that they claim could be about to happen.

We reported this week how De Gea was offered to Genoa.

Now this new report claims he is in talks to join the Serie A club on a free transfer.
