Rangers will begin their Scottish League Cup defense with a home draw against St Johnstone, which will be played at Hampden Park, with Ibrox still undergoing renovations.
Last year’s two-time champions, Celtic, will begin their League Cup campaign at home against Hibernian.
Motherwell, who lost the ensuing penalty shootout a 0-0 draw at home to Partick Thistle in the final group game, they will face Kilmarnock in another Premiership tie.
Dundee will be favorites at home against Championship side Airdrieonians but League 1 champions Falkirk could fancy their chances of a shock at home to Heart of Midlothian.
Surprise winners of their League 2 group, the Spartans – who were hoping for a lucrative draw against one of the greats of Scottish football – were drawn at home to Ross County.
Jim Goodwin will take Dundee United to face his old club St Mirren, while Aberdeen – impressive in winning Group A under new manager Jimmy Thelin – will play Championship side Queen’s Park, who have put heavy pressure on Hibs in their group .
The eight second round games will be played on the weekend of 17 and 18 August and Rangers have agreed to move to the national stadium until the beginning of September due to delays in construction work at Ibrox.
