Goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Will Lankshear either side of Son Heung-min’s brace proved to be the difference.

However, Postecoglou was less than impressed with the goalless game at the 25th-minute drinks break.

As his players received fluids around him, the Australian fumed: “I have one thing to say. Let’s go and have fun, man for man.”

His outburst was captured live by TV cameras along with the shocked reaction of the Spurs stars.

Postecoglou’s pitch worked, however, with his team heading into half-time with a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Kulusevski and Son.

The K-League XI pulled two goals back after the break before Lankshear restored a two-goal lead.

A late goal from Pohang Steelers midfielder Oberdan sparked a nervy finish for the Premier League side.

However, Spurs managed to resist and recorded their fourth victory in four pre-season friendlies.

Postecoglou’s side begin their campaign nine days later, away from home, against newly promoted Leicester.

Spurs have made three signings so far this summer as they look to build on their fifth-place finish from last season.

Swedish teenager Lucas Bergvall has completed his move from Djurgarden alongside the arrival of Archie Gray from Leeds.

South Korean winger Min-hyeok Yang has also been signed by Gangwon, but will not join his new club until January.
