The Reds won the match 2-1 thanks to goals from Mo Salah and Fabio Carvalho, as Arsenal were unable to recover after Kai Havertz pulled one back.

New boss Arne Slot has won two out of two so far and has come up with some unique ideas.
He appears to have revolutionized Liverpool’s set piece strategies, especially corners.
Against Arsenal, he ordered all outfield players – except the corner taker – to huddle at the edge of the box.
Moments before the cross was made, the players dispersed and took up different positions in and around the area.
The corners failed to produce a goal, but ended up attracting Arsenal fans.
One likened it to something out of the TV show Ted Lasso, saying: “Liverpool getting Ted Lasso corners haha. Sad.”
Another added: “”This is one of the worst corner routines out there.”

Mikel Arteta also gave his opinion on Slot’s style of play and the new dynamic he has brought to Liverpool.
He said: “They (Liverpool) are a team that looks good, that is clear, with ideas that they intend to implement. Each coach has his own touch and characteristics that make up the team’s style of play. You can see what he (Slot) is doing.”
“But the team is fine. From the games I’ve seen in the pre-season, it’s clear what he’s been trying to implement. It was a difficult game for us.”
