Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Ismaïla Sarr from Marseille for £12.6 million (€15 million).
The winger has signed a five-year contract at Selhurst Park and will act as a direct replacement for Michael Olise, who left at the start of the summer in a big-money move to Bayern Munich.
The 26-year-old only joined the Ligue 1 club last summer from Watford, scoring five goals and providing six assists in 35 appearances, but has now returned to England, where he was previously linked with Palace and a number of other clubs.
Sarr, who also has 64 caps for Senegal, becomes Oliver Glasner’s third signing this summer, following the arrivals of Daichi Kamada and Chadi Riad, at a time when the Austrian is looking to put another mark on a team he revolutionized last season .
The fee recovered by Sarr could allow Marseille and their new coach, Roberto De Zerbi, to take another step into the market.
