Hearts x Rangers (Saturday, 12:30pm)

Beni Baningime and fellow midfielder Calem Nieuwenhof are the only Hearts players unavailable for Saturday’s Scottish Premiership opener against Rangers.

Defenders Daniel Oyegoke and Gerald Taylor, midfielders Yan Dhanda and Blair Spittal, striker Musa Drammeh and versatile James Penrice could all make competitive debuts for the club, while new goalkeeper Ryan Fulton is a back-up option for Zander Clark and Craig Gordon .

Versatile player Dujon Sterling is left out for the visitors, but could return against Champions League qualifying opponents Dynamo Kiev in Poland on Tuesday.

Rangers could bring in new signings such as defenders Jefte and Clinton Nsiala and midfielder Connor Barron, but winger Vaclav Cerny is unlikely to start.

Motherwell v Ross County (Saturday, 3pm)

Australian striker Apostolos Stamatelopoulos may not be able to make his debut for Motherwell if the necessary clearance is not yet obtained.

Ross Callachan and Sam Nicholson are back in training but still unavailable, along with John Koutroumbis, Harry Paton and Callum Slattery.

Ross County midfielder Max Sheaf will be out for a long period after tearing a muscle in his thigh.

Ricki Lamie and Will Nightingale are also out due to minor injuries.

Dundee United v Dundee (Sunday, 1:30pm)

Sunday’s game will come too soon for St Mirren trio Caolan Boyd-Munce, Greg Kiltie and Conor McMenamin.

Striker Mikael Mandron failed a late fitness test ahead of Thursday’s Conference League win over Valur.

Hibernian will be without Elie Youan due to a knock to his leg, while striker Harry McKirdy is injured with a chest infection.

Jake Doyle-Hayes is still returning to full fitness, but Chris Cadden is available.

Celtic v Kilmarnock (Sunday, 4:30pm)

Daizen Maeda is a big doubt for Celtic due to a knee knock.

However, fellow winger Nicolas Kuhn played down a back injury.

But Kyle Magennis is stepping in after injury problems last season.

St Johnstone v Aberdeen (Monday, 7.45pm)

St Johnstone will be without Nicky Clark, Aaron Essel, Uche Ikpeazu and Andre Raymond.

Aberdeen are without injured midfielders Leighton Clarkson and Dante Polvara, while striker Luis ‘Duk’ Lopes is also unavailable.
