ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC was told to stay in football after throwing a terrible first pitch in a New York Yankees game.
The legendary striker retired last year and has since taken on an advisory role with RedBird Capital, the owner of one of his former clubs, AC Milan.
He had an illustrious career playing for some of Europe’s biggest clubs and won many titles.
But in New York he showed that his baseball skills needed a lot of work after a poor opening pitch in the New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays.
Ibrahimovic’s throw ended up being very deflected and the catcher was forced to leave his position and stretch to the left to catch the ball.
The pair then hugged and Ibrahimovic appeared pleased with his effort, although fans watching were unimpressed.
One reacted by saying: “Stay in football.”
Another added: “Honestly should have kicked it home ”
A third wrote: “I can’t understand how athletes, all athletes, can’t throw a ball?
And another commented: “That was horrible”
