Torquay United manager Paul Wotton says he is impressed with young striker Jadyn Crosbie.
The 20-year-old joined the Gulls from ninth-tier side Mangotsfield United on a two-year contract in June.
He scored in Torquay’s final pre-season friendly on Saturday as the Gulls won 3-0 at Tiverton Town.
“I was thrilled for Jadyn and we love him at the club, that’s why we signed him on a two-year deal,” Wotton told BBC Radio Devon.
“He was unfortunate at the start of pre-season – he twisted his ankle, got injured and missed a few weeks, which is difficult for him because he’s adapting to full-time training, he’s living away from home for the first time. time and he’s just young.
“But he came back, he trained really well, he learns quickly, I love him so much and I’m thrilled that he scored.
“I don’t care what level he’s done it at, he scores goals and it’s a pleasure to coach him.”
