AARON WAN-BISSAKA is demanding a multi-million pound reward from Manchester United to leave the club this summer.

SunSport has learned that while West Ham are willing to meet United’s £18m valuation for Wan-Bissaka, they cannot afford his wage demands, leaving the deal in limbo.

Wan-Bissaka is open to joining West Ham but has no great desire to leave United and refuses to sell himself short.

The 26-year-old has less than 12 months left on his contract at Old Trafford.

And he could earn a huge signing fee by staying where he was and leaving on a free transfer next summer.

Wan-Bissaka’s representatives are pushing for United to give the player a share of the £18m fee he will receive from West Ham to complete the deal this summer.

The former Crystal Palace defender has been on the same £90,000-a-week contract with United since joining the club five years ago.

And he is determined to secure a significant raise, which West Ham cannot offer.

Inter Milan are also interested in Wan-Bissaka and he could sign a pre-contract with the Italian club in January if a move to West Ham falls through.

West Ham have had a busy transfer window under new manager Julen Lopetegui and have already spent more than £100m this summer.

Wolves defender Max Kilman, Leeds striker Crysencio Summerville and Borussia Dortmund German striker Niclas Fullkrug are the latest signings.

Lopetegui’s last request from the club during the summer window is a new right-back to compete with Czech international Vladimir Coufal.

What happened to these five forgotten Manchester United wonderkids

United are keen to sell Wan-Bissaka this summer and have already identified Bayern Munich’s Moroccan international right-back Noussair Mazraoui as his replacement.

West Ham have also inquired about Mazraoui but are resigned to losing the Moroccan international, with Wan-Bissaka their main target.

In a potential complication, Wan-Bissaka was injured in United’s 3-0 defeat to Liverpool in South Carolina at the weekend, but it is not believed to be serious.
