LOGAN PAUL has fired back at Ronda Rousey after she claimed WWE is “rolling out the red carpet” for him.
Paul29, moved from YouTube and amateur boxing to professional wrestling three years ago before signing a contract in 2022.
Since then, The Maverick has made sporadic appearances and only fights on major pay-per-view shows against some of the company’s biggest stars, such as Roman reignsSeth Rollins and Randy Orton.
The American also became US champion last year, when he defeated Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel and signed a deal with WWE which sees its PRIME logo placed in the middle of the ring at all premium live events.
However, the social media star’s win-loss record is not stellar as he has won seven of 12 matches since joining the wrestling giants.
Rouseyhowever, he insists that Paul receives special treatment from the powers that be.
O UFC The Hall of Famer, who had two impressive stints in WWE after leaving Dana White’s company, praised the YouTuber’s mic skills but suggested even that was due to rehearsals.
Rousey recently said Steve-O’s Wild Ride: “He’s great on the mic. He does a great job on the mic. I wish I had time to rehearse what he has.
“It’s not evenly distributed. He’s like the next big star. They’re rolling out the red carpet.
“It shows that if you give people time to rehearse and resources, you can do amazing things. It’s frustrating that not everyone gets this treatment.
“My first match with them was incredible because we had six weeks to rehearse, all the best minds in the business came and put their two cents in and it was an instant classic. Why isn’t this the model?”
“They’re doing it with Logan Paul and he’s putting in fantastic performances. See what you can do when you really put organization and effort into things.
“It amazes me that this billion-dollar company is succeeding despite everything, in so many ways.”
Rousey hasn’t been shy with her criticism of WWE since leaving last summer and criticizing high-profile figures such as Vince McMahon.
Paul addressed Rousey’s comments about her, initially insisting that he has immense respect for the MMA legend.
However, the US champion believes her criticism comes from her general dissatisfaction with WWE.
Paul said Nonsense: “I want to approach this from a really mature point of view because I like Ronda Rousey. What she did in MMA is incredible.
“We watched her grow up, cracking her arms. I have a lot of respect for Ronda Rousey.
‘SHE’S NOT A HATER’
“So when she’s saying that, I don’t think it’s a personal attack on me at all. I don’t feel like she’s coming after me.
“I feel like maybe she’s using me as an example to express her dissatisfaction with how she was treated in WWE. But I can’t talk about it because I don’t know how she was treated.
“I don’t think she hates it. I think she might be unhappy with how her WWE career went, but I don’t really know anything about that.
“All I know is how I work and the facilities and time I was given to play my games in the best way possible.
“Because I think WWE recognizes that when I put on a good match, which will happen whenever I perform, the result and the reaction from the fans are immense.
“I think I’ve proven myself, both in and out of the ring, on the microphone, in wrestling. The impressions I am transmitting to the company are incomparable.”
