WWE star Cody Rhodes has geared up for a stunning career change.
Rhodes, whose real name is Cody Garrett Runnels, is the undisputed WWE champion.
However, while the 38-year-old is no stranger to playing in front of big crowds, he will look to play in front of TV screens.
It comes after Paramount announced that Rhodes would be part of its reboot of a “Naked Gun” show.
The streaming service announced its “full” cast for the project on Thursday.
While fans will be excited to see the American heartthrob on the show, they will be disappointed by the extent of his role.
According to DeadlineRhodes will only have a cameo role in the project.
The as-yet-untitled project is scheduled for release in July 2025.
Other stars already announced for the show include Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand and Danny Huston.
New additions to Rhodes’ cast include Liza Koshy, CCH Pounder (Rustin) and Busta Rhymes.
Rhodes won’t be the first WWE star to try his hand at acting.
Dwayne Johnson became a huge Hollywood star in several adventure films such as Jumanji, while John Cena found great success with his role as Peacemaker in Suicide Squad.
Dave Bautista has also starred in comic book films, playing Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while also starring in Dune and Dune: Part Two as Rabban Harkonnen.
