WWE star Ricochet looks set to LEAVE the Vince McMahon franchise at the end of his current contract in the coming weeks.
He was the first WWE Speed Champion after winning the new title last month.
The new belt stipulates that matches have a five-minute time limit, instead of the normal three-minute duration.
But Ricochet’s reign was cut short after Andrade shockingly dethroned him just 42 days into his rule.
The sudden change in direction comes as reports emerge that Ricochet will walk away from his contract once his WWE contract expires this summer.
After winning the X-exclusive title, WWE is having to quickly put plans in place for his “very likely” departure, according to US news outlet Fighter.
The King of Flight joined WWE in 2018 and later had a high-profile feud with YouTube sensation Logan Paul.
After sharing a viral moment at the 2023 Royal Rumble, the pair continued to battle it out over the months that followed with some eye-catching exits.
The Fightful report added: “Creative measures have already been taken to nullify Ricochet should he leave.
“Part of that was him losing the WWE Speed Championship to Andrade at last week’s Smackdown tapings.

“All of the Elite Wrestling staff and talent backstage were talking about the possibility of Ricochet joining the company.
“Ricochet is still under contract and we were told nothing is impossible, but as of Friday, all indications were that he had decided to leave the company.”
Brit Will Osprey criticized WWE’s use of the star as ‘terrible’, telling ComicBook: “The fact that they only value his time for less than five minutes is appalling to me.
“I just want people to remember who he is. If you look at Dragon Gate Ricochet from 2012-2013, he was untouchable at the time.”
