Clash at the Castle pre-show
The Countdown show is taking place before Clash at the Castle in Scotland with a panel consisting of Jackie Redmond, Big E and Kevin Owens in a t-shirt and TIE!
The central figure is Drew McIntyre who will compete in the main event against World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.
We don’t expect pre-show fights on this small card.
But we should expect some surprises, last year we had John Cena in Cardiff!
Good night from Glasgow
Welcome to SunSport’s live blog coverage of WWE’s Clash at the Castle: Scotland – Kostas here and I’ll bring you all the action from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow.
Hometown hero Drew McIntyre will challenge world heavyweight champion Damian Priest in the main event in front of almost 15,000 fellow Scots.
McIntyre and Priest’s rivalry began at WrestleMania 40 two months ago when the Judgment Day star cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on the Brit shortly after he won the title against Seth Rollins.
This marked the Scottish Warrior’s first WrestleMania moment in front of a sellout crowd, but it was all spoiled after he was left behind by an attack from CM Punk just before Priest’s cash-in.
The 39-year-old isn’t the only Scottish grappler in action tonight, as Piper Niven will also challenge WWE Women’s Champion Bayley.
And the fiery duo of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn will compete for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in a Triple Threat Match against Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, as well as champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
Mcintyre will represent Ayr, Niven will fight in Kilbirnie while Fyre and Dawn will come from Paisley and Glasgow respectively.
