ROMAN Reigns is reportedly walking away from WWE after WrestleMania 40.
The now 38-year-old former WWE Undisputed Champion lost the title in the main event in Philadelphia.
One of the most memorable WrestleMania in recent memory saw Cody Rhodes strip the title from Reigns.
As the dust continues to settle following Rhodes’ victory, it has been reported that Reigns plans to step aside for now.
“I was told that although Roman Reigns will be off TV for an indefinite period of time,” he tweeted Fighting votes.
They added that Reigns “will still have substantial creative input into the evolution of Bloodline’s storyline over the coming months.”
The report was met with a mix of disappointment, understanding and, ultimately, excitement for what’s to come on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“I hate hearing that. We need the Tribal Chief on television,” said one fan.
“This comeback will be epic.”
A second said: “Expected, but it hurts to read anyway haha.”
As a third responded: “Smart move. He’s the lifeblood, he deserves some input, even behind the scenes. Good he’s committed like that.”
While another predicted: “I probably won’t see him on telly again until June or July.
“We’ll probably set up a rematch with Cody at SummerSlam.”
Exactly what Reigns has in mind for the Bloodline or his teammates, Dwayne The Rock JohnsonSolo Sikoa and Tama Tonga, is unknown.
However, The Rock has teased a possible rematch with The Undertaker, after surprising fans by appearing at WrestleMania to defeat Johnson following his attack on John Cena.
“The “guy sure knows how to ruin a party,” Johnson tweeted.
“See you later, my friend. Revenge for you – but fun for me.”
Johnson then signed his message, “Final Boss.”
WWE’s next premium event will be Backlash France on May 4th, before King and Queen of the Ring on May 29th in Saudi Arabia.
Clash at the Castle and Money in the Bank will take place in June, before SummerSlam heads to Cleveland, Ohio on August 3.
This will be held at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
