ESPN broadcaster Joe Tessitore will begin his broadcasting career with WWE next month.

Tessitore, a longtime college football announcer, will start on WWE Monday Night Raw on September 2.

WWE’s SummerSlam on Saturday included a three-hour pre-show.

And during this, Tessitore joined current Monday Night Raw player Michael Cole to discuss his future plans.

“I want to make an announcement tonight,” Cole said.

“Joe will start on Monday Night Raw. Monday, September 2nd in Denver, Colorado will be Joe’s first show.

“I’m moving to Friday Night Smackdown in the US (Network). It will be exciting.”

Tessitore, who has been a familiar voice for sports fans in the United States for decades, said he was “blessed and honored” to be a part of WWE now.

“It’s great to be here, Michael,” Tessitore said.

“Guys, let me tell you something, you haven’t lived through this entrance with Michael Cole at SummerSlam.

“The place has gone crazy. You are a living legend, my friend.”

Tessitore will join Corey Graves to describe the RAW action.

He is known for working for many years in college football.

He has also led ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage in the past.
