The Chipolo One doesn’t really measure up to the collective location network of AirTags or Tile trackers, so it might not be the best option for monitoring the location of your luggage while traveling. However, it does a more than capable job of helping you find items around the house. It has the loudest chirp of all the trackers we tested, for one thing, and there was no delay between pressing a button in an app and hearing the Chipolo One chirp.

The One can be easy to spot as it is a colored plastic disc. It is also quite resistant, as it is splash-resistant with an IPX5 rating and a two-year battery life (the battery is replaceable). One other feature in the One’s favor is that it’s compatible with both iOS and Android, and we found it easy to pair with an iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy phone.

The aspect of Him that particularly impressed us was the warnings of separation. Once you get about 350 feet away from the tracker, you’ll get an alert on your phone asking if you left any items somewhere. Through its maps app, Chipolo can guide you back to the location where your phone and the One last came into contact. Of course, you can call the tracker when you are nearby to help you find it.
