Instagram starts allowing public comments on stories
O Instagram started allowing public comments on stories this Wednesday (19). In the new function, users will be able to leave public messages in temporary publications, just as is already done in feed publications.
It is now possible to comment on stories and even react with emojis, but in this case, the message goes directly to the owner of the post. With this new functionality, the intention is to generate more engagement and interaction between users.
The function was first seen at the end of last year, when it was named “Hype”. At the time, the resource had been visible not only to the author of the story, but to all of his other followers.
When available, the user will receive a notice with the following message: “Add comments to your friends’ stories”, in addition to the announcement that anyone else will be able to view the message left. Look:
Although Instagram does not mention the possibility of disabling comments in the application settings, messages can be restricted, for example.
