(Bloomberg) — Advanced Micro Devices Inc. found that hackers stole limited information during a recent cyberattack, saying the infiltration was not expected to have a significant impact on its operations.

The second-largest PC processor maker launched an investigation this week following reports that an organization called Intelbroker had breached its systems. On Wednesday, AMD said the intrusion did not obtain business-critical information.
Santa Clara-based AMD is Nvidia Corp.’s closest rival. in the race to build advanced artificial intelligence accelerators, making their technological knowledge and proprietary information a valuable target.
“Based on our investigation, we believe that a limited amount of information related to the specifications used to assemble certain AMD products was accessed from a third-party vendor’s website,” said a company spokesperson. “We do not believe this data breach will have a material impact on our business or operations.”
