You robots dominate most of the space Campus Party Brasil 2024. Battling each other, playing hockey, sumo wrestling and even playing football, you can see robots of all shapes and sizes showing off at the event.
A Robocore Experience is present at Campus Party in its third edition, with the aim of bringing the universe of robots closer to that of students and enthusiasts present at the event, which takes place in São Paulo this week.
At the event, it is possible to play a hockey game in control of the robots, pilot a crawler robot on a circuit with obstacles, ramps and irregular circuits and even attend workshops with basic notions of robotics.
You can also follow robots playing football trying to hit the ball into the goal on a field just over a meter wide.
In addition, of course, to watching different teams pit their robots against each other — with sumo competitions, fights in small arenas and fights in the largest arena in Brazil, with robots weighing up to 27 kg competing.
But robotics doesn’t just live through battles. The Artbot category features robots that seek to interact with visitors, such as Ozzy Osbourne, a friendly skull that responds to your movements, and Mr. Mime, a hand that is capable of imitating other people’s gestures.
“The proposal is to show that not every robot needs to fight, that it is possible to have robots that interact in a fun way with people”, said the team from the collective O Projeto, responsible for both creations.
