Both cell phone brands most used in the world — Apple and Samsung — are the ones that dominate the imagination of consumers who are going to purchase a new cell phone. Check below which one is most searched on the web.
In the last 12 months, between June 2023 and June 2024, Apple represented 28.5% of total mobile devices sold worldwide, according to the Statcounter tool.
Samsung, which came second in the same ranking, had a share of 24%. In addition to the impact on sales, this movement of cell phone purchases impacts on searches made on Google.
The volume of searches shows values contrary to those of last year’s purchase installments — according to information from Google Trends. In the same period, Samsung’s name was most searched on Google.

Apple Vision Pro, the brand’s virtual reality (VR) glasses, arrived on the United States market in February, offering a three-dimensional interface that can be fully controlled by the user’s eyes, hands and voice.

In the searches that stand out related to the term Samsung, two cell phone models from the brand are listed — the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy M34 —, as well as a device from competitor Motorola — the Moto G84.
Even with Rio de Janeiro’s predominance in the volume of searches on Google, the search appears to be distributed across the country almost equally.
The brand’s new bet — the Galaxy Z Flip — only appears in the 15th position of search in rising searches.
Ranking after the Apple and Samsung brands in the ranking of most purchased devices according to the Statcounter tool are Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Huawei, among others. The difference between third place (Huawei) and second place (Samsung) is 13%.
