It works over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and the Thread low-power mesh networking protocol and currently supports more than 30 device types. This includes lighting, thermostats, locks, robotic vacuums, refrigerators, dishwashers, dryers, ovens, smoke alarms, air quality monitors, electric vehicle chargers and more.
A smart home device with the Matter logo can be configured and used with any Matter-compatible ecosystem through one Matter controller and controlled by more than one with a feature called Multi-admin.
