While previous rumors suggest Apple will opt for a 20-inch display, Kuo says Apple is also considering an 18.8-inch panel. When closed, the 20-inch version will look like a 14-15-inch MacBook, while the 18.8-inch device will look like a 13-14-inch MacBook.

Apple is working with LG Display to make the foldable screen as “crease-free as possible,” says Kuo. The device will feature Apple’s M5 processor and could go into production as early as the end of next year.

In 2022, the Korean publication The Chosen also outlined a potential timeline for Apple’s rumored foldable work with Samsung-made displays. He reported that Apple would likely start work on these devices after bringing an OLED screen to the iPad or MacBook, and now we have the iPad Pro OLED, so perhaps foldables will be next.
