Wires, The New York Times’ very good word search game, it has been officially added to the NYT Games app for iOS and Android.

For me personally, this is huge. Wires became my favorite NYTsince it launched in beta in March, but I was annoyed that I had to switch between the app and a browser to complete my daily task Word, ConnectionsIt is Wires. Now I can solve all the puzzles directly in the app during my morning coffee. It’s the little things!

Each Wires puzzle has a theme. This theme suggests the words you need to find – including the word “spangram” that vain on opposite sides of the puzzle. Each letter in the puzzle is used for a themed word or spangram. If you need help, you can get hints by finding three non-topic words on the board.

Wires is currently the NYTis the “third most searched game, behind Word It is connections, and is “almost as popular” as Spelling Bee, The New York Times it says in a blog post. Most people are actually finishing their Wires puzzles too: “We consistently see 83% of Wires players who encounter Spangram every day, and the completion rate is about 81%, similar to Mini crossword It is Tiles.” Wires will be added to the Game tab in the main menu NYT application “later this year”.

Correction, June 27: An earlier version of this article misspelled the name of the word encompassing a Wires puzzle. The word is spangram, not spanagram.
