Hulu was unavailable, with up to 50,000 reports noted in Down Detector late Monday night. There is no indication of what caused the outage, but the Hulu official support account on X recognized the problem, tracking customer posts after about 11:15 p.m. ET, saying, “Our developers were able to implement changes to mitigate the outage. Please restart your device to begin streaming and let us know if you experience any further issues.”
Not everyone was having trouble accessing Hulu, but for the people who were, Posts on the social networks he said they were unable to log in or did not see any content listed on the Hulu website or apps for streaming. It doesn’t appear to exclusively affect people who have or haven’t linked their Hulu and Disney Plus accounts, and it’s unclear whether the issue was related to certain regions.
Hulu’s support messages didn’t offer any other details about why the service was down for so many people, but if you were hoping to shut down The bear season three or something exclusive to the service, you should be back online now.
Update, July 8: Noted that the problem appears to be resolved.
