How sneaker unboxing took this creator to the PGA

I met sneaker influencer and creator Jacques Slade at a party to celebrate On the edge10 year anniversary. Immediately, I was struck by her radiant joy. He had a huge smile on his face when he told me I could wear a nice pair of sneakers instead of the hand-me-down dress shoes he was wearing. And although I never received the enthusiasm he recommended, I was determined to contact him when the opportunity to collaborate through my Full picture: creators the series came about.

Jacques has been creating sneaker-centric YouTube and social content for over 10 years. In unpacking It is interviews with athletes to give clues about Danger!, there simply isn’t a part of online sneaker culture that he hasn’t touched. But recently he started looking for a new audience.

What started as a hosting job for PGA video content online became Jacques, taking advantage of his knowledge of tennis and pop culture to create content about the sport for his personal channels as well. As a longtime golfer, this has given him the opportunity to expand his audience and spend more time on the course rather than in his studio.
