Epic Games database leak suggests collection of unannounced games

An unofficial website that tracks titles in the Epic Games library may have leaked a ton of upcoming games, as previously reported per Wccftech. The site, called EpicDB, was taken down shortly after posting information taken from the Epic Games Store catalog on Monday, but that hasn’t stopped people from poring over the list and posting their findings.

You can see the list of games from publishers like Bethesda, Sega, Sony, Square Enix and others in a series of screenshots posted by a user in a ResetEra forum. While some, like Turokare easy to spot, others are listed under previously commented codenames such as “On the edge of the park” or BioShock 4.

There are still other titles with codenames that we haven’t heard of. Some users speculate that “Momo” could point to a Final Fantasy 9 remake, while “Selma” could be the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 1. The codename “Utah” could also hint at the PC version of The last of us part 2that there are rumors of be almost ready to launch.

Since then, Epic Games has released an update that prevents sites like EpicDB from purging their list of unpublished games. “We released an update tonight so that third-party tools cannot bring new unpublished product titles from the Epic Games Store catalog,” Epic Games said in a statement provided to Wccftech. On the edge reached Epic Games with a request for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

But with so many other titles listed under unfamiliar codenames, like Sega’s CurlyWurly and Bethesda’s Brownie, Internet sleuths still have plenty of mysteries to uncover.
