Although this leak seemed obvious, it was only detected in Slovenia, so it had a chance to go unnoticed.
On the other hand, the leaked video game call for A Quiet Place’s release date was seen by gamers all over the world.
People can be very fanatical about their favorite console and keep an eye on everything that is announced about it.
This usually means following major PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo accounts across all social media platforms.
Because of how closely people follow these accounts, a post will certainly be seen by someone, even if it is only available for a few seconds.
That’s exactly what happened when PlayStation accidentally posted the release date for A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead on Twitter.
The tweet read: “A Quiet Place: A Road Ahead comes to PS5 October 17th.”
Along with this sentence, there was a short six-second teaser video of the game.
It was deleted after just a few minutes, but people had already taken screenshots and shared it.
What likely happened is that PlayStation scheduled the post alongside another announcement, but the tweet ended up going out early.
The release date has already been confirmed by the publisher along with prices and platforms.
Twitter users pointed out that it “arrives just in time for Halloween,” claiming they “can’t wait.”
There has been a lot of speculation about the game’s length, due to the fact that it appears at a low price in some online stores.
It appeared for just $29.99 on Amazon US and the price has now been confirmed as $29.99/£24.99
A Quiet Place is a stealth-based single-player game, which means it’s more likely to be a shorter game.
Although PlayStation has released the release date, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will also be released on Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
