Epic Games offers free games to PC gamers every week, and you can build a strong game library as long as you have an Epic Games account.

Account sign-up is also free, so all of these free games come with no strings attached.

While these are usually smaller or older games, every now and then Epic Games gives people some big hits to add to their libraries.

That’s the case this week, as two big-name games are available for free on the store, including a title released just a few days ago.

The first game distributed on the Epic Games Store this week is DNF Duela popular fighting game of 2022.

The 2.5D action fighting game features 16 characters and is known for its easy-to-learn but difficult-to-master gameplay style.

It has nine different ways to play, including ranked matches, player matches, ranked, free battle, story mode, arcade mode, survival mode, training mode, and tutorials.

Developed by Arc System Works, known for its impressive lineup of fighters, it usually costs $50/£41, but is available for absolutely nothing for the next seven days.

The second game available for free this week is Cygni: all guns blazinga bullet-hell shooter that was released just a few days ago, on August 6, 2024.

While Cygni has difficulty levels, true to the genre it can be particularly challenging and will require several attempts to master.

There are seven missions in the game, which range from nine to 15 minutes each, but will take much longer to complete.

If you’re already a SHMUP master, you can try Arcade Mode, which forces you to go through all the levels in order with a single life.

Cygni: All Guns Blazing normally costs $30/£25, but is free for the next seven days.

Both games are available until Thursday, August 15, 2024, when they will be replaced by more free games.

To claim them, you’ll need an Epic Games account and install the free Epic Games Launcher if you want to play them.
