STEAM always offers huge discounts on some of the best video games, and it’s time for fans of the soulslike genre to eat well.
A 2022 Souls-inspired title is currently available for its lowest price ever, and players will have a few days to snag the deal.
Rise of steel is a challenging action adventure that draws heavily from FromSoftware’s exclusive games.
Set in an alternative-history 18th-century Paris, it puts you at the center of the impending revolution, with some major twists to actual historical events.
Steelrising presents a world where King Louis XVI is crushing the French Revolution with an army of mechanical machines called automatons.
Playing as Aegis, Marie Antoinette’s personal automatic bodyguard, you are sent to the capital to investigate what is going on, but soon find yourself drawn into the conflict.
Steelrising follows the Soul-like “rulebook” closely, to the point of being criticized in reviews for its lack of innovation.
Upon release, the game received mixed reactions, with a rating of 68 on review aggregator Metacritic, but a favorable user score of 7.5.
Despite the average reviews, with the massive 70% discount on Steam right now, it’s a great bargain for fans of the genre to pick up.
Normally priced at £34.99 / $59.99, players can now purchase Steelrising for just £10.49 / $14.99its lowest price ever.
What’s more, the game’s Bastille Edition, which adds The Cagliostro’s Secrets extension and cosmetic items, is also being reduced in price by 70%.
Steam players even have May 4, 2024, 6pm UK time / 1pm ET to get the game at its current low price, so you have to act quickly to get the bargain.
