Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition will no longer be available for free to PS Plus subscribers

On the PlayStation Store, Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition will be removed from the PS Plus Extra catalog on May 21, 2024.

Sony has been rumored to be developing a remake of Horizon: Zero Dawn for a few years now, which, if true, makes sense to remove the original game from PS Plus.

Horizon: Zero Dawn was released in 2017 and was positively received by critics and gamers.

The game has a Metacritic score of 89/100, based on 124 reviews, as well as a score of 8.4/10 from over 13,000 user reviews.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic future where humans coexist with dinosaur-like robots.

Players take on the role of Aloy, a young warrior who discovers the secrets of the old world while exploring the massive open world.

The Complete Edition replaced the original game by including the “Frozen Wilds” DLC expansion and other items.

After Zero Dawn, developer Guerrilla Games released a sequel, Horizon: Forbidden West in 2022, which continues Aloy’s story.

Following the release of Forbidden West, the first game was updated to run at 60fps when played on PS5.

Both games are also available on PC, so players can also check them out on Steam or the Epic Games Store.

You can pick up Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PS4 and PS5 for £15.99/$19.99 from the PlayStation Store, or play it for free before it leaves the service.
