GTA 6 has been in development for over a decade, but we only recently got our first look at it.

Rockstar first announced the game was in development in February 2022, with the first trailer shown in December 2023.

At that time, the trailer revealed that GTA 6 would be released in 2025, but fans managed to narrow it down further.

Thanks to publisher Take-Two’s financial report, people believed it would be early 2025, between January and April.

However, Take-Two recently published more information, which leads us to believe that the release window has changed.

The latest financial report puts GTA 6’s release date at the end of 2025, around September to November.

This is a popular release window for games, as people often make big purchases around the holidays.

It appears the release date change is due to internal delays, which would make sense given the differences in financial reporting.

This can occur for a variety of reasons, including bug fixes and changes to the scope of the game.

It’s very normal for delays like this to occur internally, which is why Rockstar gave a very vague release date in the trailer.

This way the studio doesn’t need to give fans an official delay, which could be poorly received.

There’s no word on when we’ll receive an official update from Rockstar on the game’s progress, but it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer before they can get their hands on it.
