Pokémon Fans Can Catch a Super Rare Free Monster That Only a Third of Players Have

POKÉMON Scarlet and Violet often give out free ‘mons’ to fans to help them build their collections.

These are usually Pokémon based on championship-winning teams, but the latest offering is a little different.

Pokémon fans mourned the loss of the anime’s protagonist Ash Ketchum, as after he became World Champion, a new story began.

This new series is called Pokémon Horizons and features a new set of protagonists Roy and Liko.

Liko’s first partner Pokémon, Sprigatito, has already been given to players Scarlet and Violet, and another partner Pokémon can now be grabbed.

Although Liko chose Sprigatito and Roy chose Fuecoco, this means there is another Generation 9 Pokémon left.

The third starter, Quaxly, was given to Dot, another member of Roy and Liko’s crew.

Pokémon is currently giving away Dot’s Quaxly, a Pokémon that many fans wouldn’t otherwise have access to.

Since you can only choose one starter Pokémon, once you make that choice, you won’t be able to get the other starter Pokémon.

If you chose Fuecoco or Sprigatito, there is now a way to grab your own Quaxly.

To catch Dot’s Quaxly in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there are a few steps you need to follow.

First you need to navigate to Mysterious gift through the Poké Portal in the main menu.

Then select Get with code/password and enter the code D0T1ST PARTNER.

Dot’s Quaxly comes at level 5 with the original Dot trainer and Classic and Partner Ribbon branding.

Otherwise, it’s exactly the same as its usual partner Pokémon, as it comes with the Water Tera type and the moves Pound and Water Gun.
