We are just a few days away from the remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and players are still worried about whether the new game will live up to the original.

However, it looks like there’s no reason to worry, as excellent reviews for the upcoming Paper Mario game have started to come in.

Of the 61 critic reviews shown on review aggregate site Metacritic, The Thousand-Year Door has a score of 89, with the lowest rating being a respectable 75.

Even those who scored Paper Mario less than perfectly had amazing things to say about the game.

Logan Plant IGN gave Paper Mario a 9/10, saying: “Paper Mario finally returned to his RPG roots with an incredibly loyal and visually stunning remake of The Thousand-Year Door.
