FANS have been waiting for more Elden Ring since the base game launches in 2022.

In February 2024, it was revealed in a short trailer that a new story expansion would soon be released for Elden Ring called Shadow of the Erdtree.

The first trailer was full of Easter eggs for fans to find, but it didn’t show anything too substantial for people to better understand the DLC.

Elden Ring players were excited to learn that another trailer would be released before launch, but this one also raised more questions than it answered.

We see Miquella, a minor character from the base game who has a much larger role in Shadow of the Erdtree, walk down a bloody path before holding what could be part of the Elden Ring.

The narrator talks about a tyrant Messmer, who has been purged from the world, but we see him here along with a host of new enemies.

We also got our first look at a new boss for the expansion, which is some sort of heavily armored beast.

The ending suggests that Shadow of the Erdtree’s main quest will be about finding Miquella, as we see a group of pilgrims entering the Land of Shadows to find her.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S on June 21, 2024.
