UBISOFT is one of the largest publishers on the market, with popular franchises such as Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry.

Its latest multiplayer shooter, XDefiant, was first announced in 2021, and people were eagerly awaiting their first chance to play.

The first previews compared it to games like Call of Duty, with the difference being that you can play with characters from other Ubisoft franchises.

You can play as factions from other series such as Watch Dogs, Tom Clancy and Far Cry, giving CoD a different vibe.

However, it’s still a multiplayer FPS, and CoD fans were eager to try out this new game.

XDefiant launched yesterday, May 21, 2024, and since it’s free to play, everyone can dive in and try it out.

This caused problems for most players as everyone was eager to play the latest free game.

Many were unable to join the match, believing there were server issues, while others complained about long wait times.

As enthusiasm for the new release dies down, it seems to be easier to get into a game and people seem to be enjoying it.

If you want to secure a place in the squad, it may still be worth waiting a few more days until the number of players stabilizes.

It might also be worth trying at unpopular times, like regular work hours.

XDefiant is free and now available for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
