FORTNITE servers are down as Epic Games prepares for the next season.
Chapter 5 Season 3 is one of Fortnite’s biggest updates, and as such, it’s been a long time in the making.

Why is Fortnite down?
Fortnite is currently offline for scheduled server maintenance so Epic Games can prepare for the next season.
Downtime started at 11pm PT / 2am ET / 7am UK timeand will continue until the next season is ready to be released.
When will Fortnite be online again?
There is no official time for Fortnite’s return online, but we can provide estimates based on previous downtime.
Fortnite’s seasonal updates usually take around five hours, meaning the game will be back online around 4am PT / 7am ET / 12pm ET.
However, the last major update took significantly longer and many people had to wait up to 24 hours to get back into the game.
We expect this update to be one of the longest, but it will likely be back online today (May 24, 2024)
What’s coming in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 will feature two major collaborations. The first is linked to Mad Max: Furiosa.
This season is officially called Fortnite: Wrecked and will feature a new Wasteland biome.
The new biome is also tied to the Fallout collaboration, where Wastelands is a big part of the series’ world.
New vehicle mods are being added so you can roam the Wastelands Mad Max style, and Fallout-themed Power Armor will be added.
