If you’re not ready to get started, we’ve listed the biggest changes in the new season to check out first.

Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3: Shipwrecked.

What’s in the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass?

The new Battle Pass is the Wrecked Battle Pass, which focuses on Wasteland Warriors, linking both collaborations with Mad Max: Furiosa and Fallout.

There are new outfits for the Wasteland Warriors and other Wasterlanders like Rust.

It includes a number of themed skins, such as the T-60 Power Armor from Fallout’s Brotherhood of Steel, as well as Ringmaster Scarr and Peabody.

This season also brings a Wastelander Magneto Outfit, which can be unlocked during July’s Battle Pass missions.

What is the new biome for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?

The Wasteland is a new biome south of the Fortnite island in Chapter 5 Season 3.

After a massive sandstorm hit the world, this area was transformed into a Mad Max-inspired sandscape.

It features locations such as Redline Rig, a Nitro refinery run by The Machinist, the Nitrodome, where Ringmaster Scarr spends his time, and Brutal Beachhead, the home base of the Wasteland Warriors.

In each of these areas you will be able to face a Wasteland Warrior and defeating him will reward you with a series of items such as weapons and mythical vehicles.

What are the new weapons and items in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?

Wrecked features a number of new weapons and items that fit the theme, as well as some popular items.

Nitro Fists will let you punch through enemies and dash through the air, and the Boom Bolt is a modifiable crossbow that fires explosive beams.

Nuka-Cola restores health immediately and protects over time, while hitting Slurp Cacti will launch healing cactus fruit.

Previous vaulted vehicle mods have been removed for this vehicle-focused season, but more on that later.

What is Nitro in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?

Nitro comes in two forms – Nitro Splash and Nitro Barrels – and both will give you a boost.

Nitro Splash is a type of portable Nitro container, which you can use to boost your car and grant it some serious buffs.

On the other hand, Nitro Barrels are made to be driven in a straight line, which not only provides buffs to your vehicle, but they fly and explode when they land.

Nitro-enhanced vehicles move faster, have more crashing power, and lower fuel consumption.

You can also spray yourself with Nitro to increase movement speed, increase bashing power when running, consume less stamina, reload weapons faster, and have fall immunity.

What are the new and unguarded vehicle mods for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?

Vehicle mods are returning so you can customize your vehicle like those in Mad Max: Furiosa.

The Cow Catchers and Chonkers off-road tires have been removed and four new mods have been added.

Here is the complete list of new and unprotected vehicle mods.

  • Roof Modifications — Machine gun turret, grenade launcher turret
  • Front bumper modifications – Pointed bumper, Cow Catcher
  • Tire Mods – Bulletproof tires, Chonkers all-terrain tires

Vehicle mod boxes will be scattered throughout the world and will be attached to your vehicle when you pass them.

What is the Battle Bus in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?

The War Bus is new to Fortnite v30.00 and two of them will be patrolling the map.

Unlike the Battle Bus, War Buses are main objectives that will roam the Wasteland for you to find.

Players can hijack them to use the player-controlled cannons and horn that sends out an EMP pulse damaging nearby shields and disabling other vehicles.
