PLAYSTATION fans were left in awe today during a State of Play presentation that saw a number of stellar games showcased and announced.
Ahead of Summer Games Fest, a huge celebration that includes announcements from all kinds of gaming companies, including Xbox, PlayStation led the charge with a presentation of its own.
14 games were shown off during PlayStation State of Play, though the first 10 minutes were taken up by new footage from Concord, an Overwatch-style hero shooter from Sony’s in-house studio Firewalk Studios.
Concord was already announced last year, but this is the first time we’ve seen proper gameplay and it looks pretty good.
Interestingly, the game is coming to PS5 and PC via Steam, a strategy we’ve seen Sony use recently with games like Helldivers 2.
The release date for Konami and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake was also announced, which will launch for PS5 and PC on October 8, 2024.
