A deal on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the latest entry in the biggest shooter franchise, allows fans to play for free.
Players can join the fray immediately as the offering has already started on consoles and PC.
Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 released a few days ago, and to celebrate, publisher Activision is allowing everyone to play the game during a free access period.
The offer is available on all platforms, but only includes Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer modes.
Fans who want to play the game’s single-player campaign will still have to purchase the title from the platform’s respective store.
The free access weekend is available via Steam and Battle.net on PC, as well as the PlayStation Store on PS4 and PS5, and the Xbox Store on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
To close the deal, you need to go to the digital store of your choice and download the game for free.
The free trial includes 8+ multiplayer maps, 5 multiplayer modes, and access to Modern Warfare Zombies mode.
The latest Call of Duty game was poorly reviewed when it was released in November 2023 and is now sitting at a low rating of 56 on Metacritic, with an abysmal 2.1 user score.
