The massive Harry Potter game is getting a free update – players rejoice with the addition of the long-awaited feature

MORE than a year after its release, the biggest video game set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will receive a major free update.

Developer Avalanche Software on Tuesday outlined some long-requested features that will be added to the game soon.

Hogwarts Legacy is getting its free Summer 2024 update in June 6, 2024and now we know what’s in store for Potterheads.

The main attraction of the new additions is a complete feature Photo Modeallowing players to capture their favorite moments in the game’s beautiful open world.

Previously, Hogwarts Legacy players could only take basic screenshots of the game, with no options to customize camera angles, hide the game interface, or add filters.

The new Photo Mode appears to have all the features that are now standard for many other games, like adjustments for contrast, exposure, depth of field, filters, character pose presets, and more.

It’s a welcome addition that some have been waiting for since the game’s February 2023 release.

Players who change their mind about how they want to build their characters will now have the option to reset talent points and assign them again.

The new feature will not be free and will cost 200 in-game gold per talent point, so choosing the best skills to match your playstyle remains important in the game.

Probably the biggest news for some players will be the addition of The Haunted Shop of Hogsmeade search.

This is an exclusive side quest that only PlayStation console owners can play, but it will now also be available to Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC players.

Completing the long quest rewards you with your own shop in the famous magical village of Hogsmeade and a special shopkeeper outfit for your character.

The new update will also unlock an exclusive pre-order item for all players, the onyx Hippogriff mount.

The next time fans log into the game after the update, they will also receive Harry Potter’s iconic glue-on glasses along with a few more cosmetics.
