NINTENDO Switch Online is one of the best gaming subscription deals, offering over 250 games for one low annual price.
Games aren’t added to the service regularly, but unlike other subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, games are rarely removed from the service.
The five games recently added to the service can be purchased on Nintendo Switch Online’s cheapest tier, which costs just £17.99/$19.99 per year.
Five games of Mega man Game Boy series were added to the service, including Mega Man: Dr Wily’s Revenge, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4 and Mega Man 5.
Mega Man was released on the Game Boy a few years after the release of the NES for which the series is best known.
They are independent titles from the NES releases, but some of the games borrow components such as bosses and level design from the NES games.
Mega Man: Dr Wily’s Revenge uses parts of the original Mega Man and Mega Man 2 for the NES, while Mega Man 2 for the Game Boy uses parts of the NES versions of Mega Man 2 and 3.
The Game Boy version of Mega Man 3 borrows parts from Mega Man 3 and 4 on the NES, and Mega Man 4 for the Game Boy borrows from Mega Man 4 and 5 on the NES.
Unlike other Game Boy titles, Mega Man 5 is a completely new game and borrows nothing from the original NES titles.
All five Mega Man Game Boy games are now available as part of Nintendo Switch Online and subscribers can play them at no extra cost.
If you want to play these games, you first need to download the Game Boy app from the Nintendo eShop, but this is free.
Then you can select the game you want to play for free through the app.
