FORTNITE players will not be able to play this morning, June 13, 2024, and some are wondering when the servers will be back online.
Fortnite servers are down now as developer Epic Games is rolling out update v30.10 to the game.
The new update will bring a collaboration with heavy metal band Metallica in all game modes.
Is Fortnite down now?
Yes, Fortnite is currently down – for scheduled server maintenance to roll out the v30.10 update.
This will be the first major update since Chapter 5 Season 3 launched almost three weeks ago.
This is routine downtime that happens whenever Epic Games releases a new version of the game, whether it’s a new season or a minor update.
Fortnite servers went offline this morning, June 13, 2024, 9am UK time/4am ETand matchmaking was disabled a few minutes before that time.
As usual, Epic Games notified everyone about the current downtime via Twitter/X in advance.
During periods of inactivity, players will receive matchmaking errors and will be unable to join games.
How long does Fortnite downtime last?
Epic Games has not provided end times for ongoing scheduled maintenance, but we can make an educated guess based on downtimes from previous updates.
Maintenance for updates like this usually takes 2-3 hours to deploy, so expect Fortnite servers to be back online around 11am UK time / 6am ET.
Of course, this will only be true if everything goes well during the deployment, as any unforeseen issues during the upgrade could prolong server downtime.
Players can always check for updates on the game’s server status on the official website Fortnite Status Twitter/X Account.
