FORTNITE v30.10, the first major patch for Chapter 5, Season 3, is now available in the game.
The update launches the Fortnite x Metallica collaboration, with lots of new content about the heavy metal band in all Fortnite modes.

Metallica concert in Fortnite
The highlight of this update is Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury. – a new virtual concert at the Fortnite Festival.
The heavy metal music experience will feature a set of six Metallica fan favorites.
There will be six showtimes over two days next weekend.

The show will appear in the Fortnite Discover tab for 30 minutes at each airtime, and even if you join a little late, you’ll be able to watch the entire show.
Fortnite Festival Season 4
Fortnite Festival Season 4 starts today, June 13, 2024and is adding a new mode that will remain even after the season ends.
O PvP battle stage is a free-for-all musical with 16 players, where everyone competes on the same four-song setlist.
The Festival Pass will feature a free and premium swath of Metallica-themed rewards.
Purchasing the premium pass will immediately unlock the Lars Ulrich skin, and by spending Festival points you will receive the outfits of the other three band members.
All Metallica skins for James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo and Lars Ulrich also have Lego Fortnite minifigure versions.
The Fortnite Festival will also host tracks from Metallica Jam, including “Master of Puppets,” “Enter Sandman,” and more.
New weapon – Ride the Lightning guitar
In Fortnite Battle Royale, players are getting the new Ride the Lightning guitar weapon.
The guitar creates a lightning arc across the sky that your squadmates can also ride.
Metallica’s Loot Island POI
In the middle of each Battle Royale match, a floating Metallica Loot Island will appear from a hole in the sky.
Swaying to the holograms of James, Lars, Kirk, and Robert will net players plenty of loot, including the Ride the Lightning guitar.
New Thrash Mountain track in Rocket Racing
Another new Metallica-inspired feature is the Trash Mountain track in Fortnite’s Rocket Racing mode.
It’s a volcanic track with instrumental monuments and a section shaped like a guitar neck, with Metallica’s “Fuel” playing during the races.
