XBOX has come under fire recently after the company closed two of its most popular studios.

Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks were shut down by Xbox after the release of Redfall and Hi-Fi Rush, respectively, despite the latter’s critical and commercial success.

Redfall studio Arkane Austin managed to release an update for the game following the studio’s shutdown, implementing a number of bug fixes and improvements.

However, the planned DLC for Redfall has been permanently cancelled, despite some consumers having already purchased it.

When Redfall was released, people were able to purchase the special ‘Bite Back’ edition, which included access to all future DLC.

There was another way to pre-order the DLC. Purchasing the Bite Back upgrade to the standard edition also promised future access.

People started posting on social media saying they had received refunds for these purchases.

Those who receive a refund will receive a message from Xbox informing them that they have been “identified as a Redfall player who purchased the Hero Pass.”

The message also states: “Credits the value of the upgrade directly to your account.”

You should receive an email from Microsoft confirming that you have received your refund.

The refund is available as a credit to your Microsoft account, so you can only use it on future Microsoft purchases.

It’s been almost two months since Xbox shut down Arkane Austin, and Redfall players are pleased to finally get their money back.

Many are upset that they will never receive the content they were promised, but refunds help make things right.
