The STEAM Summer Sale is about to start, but a free game is always better than a big discount.
Not only are Epic Game Store games free, but this week they had a whopping 87 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic.
This week, players can pick up Sunless Skies, the popular sequel to Sunless Sea.
Sunless Skies is a story-driven horror game that also involves exploration and decision-making.
The synopsis reads: “Command a space steam locomotive as a new Victorian empire rises to the stars!
“Lead your hapless crew into trouble – and drive them crazy. Smuggling souls. Exchange for time barrels. Stop by for some cricket (and a nice cup of tea).
Additionally, the Sovereign Edition, currently available on the Epic Games Store, is the complete and definitive version of Sunless Skies.
It is said to: “incorporate the many additions made since launch – including new officers, enemies, engines, stories and mascots.
“In addition to a completely revamped region, a full-throttle mode for long trips and desperate escapes, and the much-requested horn – as well as dozens of quality-of-life improvements.”
Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition usually costs £18.99/$24.99, so you can save a lot of money by purchasing this week’s deal.
This game will be available until Thursday, June 4, 2024, so you only have a week if you want to catch them.
You can claim it via the Epic Games Store page or directly from the Epic Games Launcher.
The launcher is free to download and you’ll need it to play these games, so it’s worth installing it on your PC if you want to claim them.
