STEAM is one of the cheapest platforms to buy games thanks to its numerous sales.

While there are some genre and publisher sales throughout the year, the highlights are the seasonal sales.

The biggest of these are the Steam Summer Sale and the Steam Winter Sale, where thousands of games are discounted by up to 90%.

The Steam Summer Sale is about to begin, and with it, gamers’ wallets are about to get a lot thinner.

Steam’s biggest annual sale will start today, Thursday, June 17, 2024, at the 6pm UK time.

This means there are only a few hours left before people can get their games on the cheap.

The promotion will last two weeks and the discounts will only last until Thursday, July 11, 2024.

It’s not yet clear which games will be included in the sale, but there are already a number of savings you can make.

Steam has already discounted several Steam Deck models and people can save up to £60/$70.

Following the patterns of previous Steam sales, the Summer Sale will likely feature discounts across all game genres.

The most common theme is that older games will be heavily discounted at up to 90 or even 95%, while modern games are often only up to 30% off.

Don’t expect the latest games to be on sale, although you will sometimes see recent releases available for 10% off.

Discounts don’t vary throughout the fortnight, so feel free to think about the deals you want to take advantage of before taking the plunge.
